Every business
"A good day" pays a random amount between the low and high figure. "Average a day" also counts the bad days, which pay ₦0. "Pays back" is the price divided by the average day: how many days, on average, before the business has returned what you paid.

The days are real days: the game runs on Lagos time. Averages are what the payouts work out to over many evenings; any single week can be well above or below.
The best first business
Ranked by how fast each one pays back its price. Assumptions: you buy one at a time, you play at least once a week so payouts never pause, and the figures are before tax.
| # | Business | Price | Average week | Per ₦100k a day | Pays back | Ahead if sold after |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 🔌 Phone Charging Spot | ₦120,000 | ₦9,177 | ₦1,092 | 92 days | 41 days |
| 2 | 🍞 Bread & Butter Table | ₦220,000 | ₦14,168 | ₦920 | 109 days | 49 days |
| 3 | 💧 Pure Water Round | ₦420,000 | ₦23,598 | ₦802 | 125 days | 56 days |
| 4 | 🍲 Mama’s Canteen | ₦950,000 | ₦47,173 | ₦709 | 141 days | 63 days |
| 5 | 🛺 Keke on Hire | ₦1,800,000 | ₦82,810 | ₦657 | 152 days | 68 days |

"Per ₦100k a day" is what every ₦100,000 you put in brings back each day on average; it falls as the price rises. "Ahead if sold after" is how long you must keep the business before its payouts cover the 45% you lose by selling it back.
🔌 Buy first: Phone Charging Spot
At ₦120,000 it is the cheapest business and the fastest to pay back, about 92 days. It also makes a good test: keep it 41 days and even selling it would leave you ahead.
Then: 🍞 Bread & Butter Table and 💧 Pure Water Round
₦220,000 and ₦420,000. Each pays a little slower than the one before, but together with the first they add ₦14,168 and ₦23,598 to your average week.
The dearer a business, the longer it takes to pay back. The big ones are worth it for the size of the payout, not the return: buy them once smaller businesses and promotions have made the price easy.
Tax adds to the gap at the top. On its own, an average week of the 🧊 Cold Room & Frozen Foods is taxed ₦48,872 and of the ⛽ Fuel Station Share (20%) is taxed ₦427,240, because it passes the ₦400,000 tax-free amount. That stretches payback to 200 days and 262 days. With wages on top, the tax starts sooner. See the money guide for the bands.
Buying a business
- Open Phone → Invest. Every business is listed with its area, price and what it makes a day.
- Tap Buy on a card. A confirm screen repeats the description, the daily range and what selling would return.
- Tap Buy again to pay. If you cannot afford it, the button tells you how much you are short. Your Welcome fund is spent first, then your Spendable money.
Ajebota players start with ₦420,000: enough for the 🔌 Phone Charging Spot and 🍞 Bread & Butter Table on day one, leaving ₦80,000. Keep some back for food and furniture. Ajepako players save for their first; the money guide has a weekly budget that shows how long it takes.
Payouts at 6 PM
- Every evening at 6 PM, Lagos time, each business you own pays into your Spendable money, whether you are playing or not.
- The first payout is the same evening if you buy before 6 PM, otherwise the next evening. The card says "First payout today" or "tomorrow".
- A good day pays a random amount in the business's range, to the nearest ₦10.
- A bad day pays ₦0, and the card says why. For the Phone Charging Spot (about one day in 13) it might be: "Somebody walked off with three phones. You paid for them."
- Tax comes off payouts once your week's wages and payouts pass ₦400,000, the same as wages.
The top of the Invest app shows your Portfolio value, when the next payout is, and your takings Today, This week and in Total. These figures are before tax, and Total adds what a sale would return and takes off the price you paid. Each owned card shows the last payout, the week so far and its all-time takings. Payouts also appear in the Bank's transactions.
Pausing when you are away
A business only pays if you have opened the game in the 7 days before that evening's payout. After a full 7 days away, each evening is recorded as ₦0 with the note "On hold — you've been away a full week." Come back and the next 6 PM pays again; the paused days are not made up.
A quick visit to the game once a week keeps every business paying.
Selling back
Tap Sell on a business you own and confirm. You get 55% of its price straight away, and it stops paying. You can buy the same kind again later, at full price.
| Business | Price | Sells for |
|---|---|---|
| 🔌 Phone Charging Spot | ₦120,000 | ₦66,000 |
| 🍞 Bread & Butter Table | ₦220,000 | ₦121,000 |
| 💧 Pure Water Round | ₦420,000 | ₦231,000 |
| 🍲 Mama’s Canteen | ₦950,000 | ₦522,500 |
| 🛺 Keke on Hire | ₦1,800,000 | ₦990,000 |
| 🧵 Tailoring Shop | ₦3,200,000 | ₦1,760,000 |
| 🚐 Danfo on the Oshodi Route | ₦9,500,000 | ₦5,225,000 |
| 🧊 Cold Room & Frozen Foods | ₦24,000,000 | ₦13,200,000 |
| ⛽ Fuel Station Share (20%) | ₦110,000,000 | ₦60,500,000 |
Selling makes sense when you need cash for something urgent, like rent you cannot otherwise pay. Selling one to buy a bigger one rarely does: you lose 45% of the old price and start a slower payback.
One of each
You can own every business at the same time, but only one of each kind; trying to buy a second shows "Only one per player". All 9 together cost ₦150,210,000 and average about ₦4,955,826 a week before tax. Starting over with a new person retires your current one along with everything it owns, businesses included.
Businesses and rent
A good rule is to move to a bigger home once your businesses' average week covers its rent. The smallest set that does it for each home:
| Home | Rent a week | Businesses | Average week |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-contain · Dopemu | ₦4,800 | 🔌 Phone Charging Spot | ₦9,177 |
| Mini-flat · Ogba | ₦13,600 | 🔌 Phone Charging Spot + 🍞 Bread & Butter Table | ₦23,345 |
| Two-bedroom flat · Ifako | ₦48,000 | 🔌 Phone Charging Spot + 🍞 Bread & Butter Table + 💧 Pure Water Round + 🍲 Mama’s Canteen | ₦94,116 |
| Duplex · Omole Phase 2 | ₦280,000 | 🔌 Phone Charging Spot + 🍞 Bread & Butter Table + 💧 Pure Water Round + 🍲 Mama’s Canteen + 🛺 Keke on Hire + 🧵 Tailoring Shop | ₦320,146 |
| Mansion · Ikeja GRA | ₦1,250,000 | 🔌 Phone Charging Spot + 🍞 Bread & Butter Table + 💧 Pure Water Round + 🍲 Mama’s Canteen + 🛺 Keke on Hire + 🧵 Tailoring Shop + 🚐 Danfo on the Oshodi Route + 🧊 Cold Room & Frozen Foods | ₦1,586,866 |
Common mistakes
- Spending your last naira on a business just before rent day and falling behind on rent.
- Buying the most expensive business you can afford instead of the fastest payback.
- Selling to trade up and losing 45% of the price.
- Staying away for more than 7 days and losing those evenings.
- Judging a business on one bad week: the averages only show over a month or more.
Grow the income that pays for all this in jobs and skills, and plan the week in money and your budget.
